Mother's Day Location Change!
Due to graduation this Sunday, we are unable to meet at the high school this week. So we will be jumping back into the K-State Extension Office for just this Sunday!
Since this change is fairly last minute, we will keep things simple. We won’t have our usual setup but instead will enjoy a stripped back service.
- Service Time - We will shift our service time back 15 minutes to 10:15 AM in order to give time to those who miss this email to shift over from the high school to the K-State Office. :)
- Sunday Morning Class - We will cancel our Sunday Morning Class for this week and plan to have the final session next week, May 21st.
- Children’s Ministry - We will only have preschool and nursery available upstairs. Elementary students will stay in the service with families.
- Cozy Up - Since we are meeting in a smaller space, we will try to squeeze in together. Bring an extra lawn chair if you have one!
We love gathering together as a church body and are so glad that the only thing truly required is the presence of Jesus. And he has promised to be with us. See you on Sunday morning!
Getting to know each other
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at King's Cross Church a great one!
SERVICE TIMES
We meet every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM and our service usually lasts a little over an hour.
LOCATION
We meet at the High School in Lyons (601 E American Rd, Lyons, KS 67554).
What can I expect?
How long is a King's Cross CHURCH service?
In total, our services are about 70 minutes in length. Services begin with focusing on God and what he has done for us. We do this through a song, readings, and prayers. The congregation is asked to sing and read out loud together at times, but you won't be forced to do anything uncomfortable. After the worship portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will preach about Jesus using a passage from the Bible. We then end our services by singing two or three songs together with a final brief blessing for everyone to head into their week with God.
What's the culture like at King's Cross CHurch?
Sunday's are simple, casual, and relaxed. We just want to focus on knowing God more, so we try to strip away all the other distractions. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest. We'll have some coffee and food available as well!
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at King's Cross Kids, we make this a priority. We also highly value your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a check-in process for King's Cross Kids the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra five or so minutes to get signed in.
King's Cross Kids is offered at each week for kids ages infant through 5th grade.
