We are made for community. Learn more about how to get connected.

CONNECT

Christians are called to “bear one another’s burdens” (Gal 6:2), “forgive one another” (Col. 3:13), “exhort one another” (Heb 3:13), “be devoted to one another” (Rom 12:10), and more. All of these could be summed up simply in the command to “love one another” (Col. 3:14). We believe the word “belong” best captures the responsibility contained within the New Testament idea of “love" to share our lives with one another.

This rich sense of belonging does not happen automatically, but takes time and intentionality. Here, there are several spaces that can help you build those connections.

Home Groups

We have several Home Groups that meet weekly in our church and have the same simple outline of 1) Eating a meal together, 2) Discussing a passage of the Bible, and 3) Praying together. These are not quite small groups—each Home Group consists of 15-20 people—so that it feels more like a party. We purposefully gather in people's homes so that we can practice hospitality and enjoy a more informal, laid-back setting.

We currently have Home Groups that meet for roughly 12 weeks in the fall and another 12 weeks in the spring, and take a break for the winter holidays and through the summer. Here are the current times and homes:

In Lyons:

  • Boyea Home Group - Wednesday evenings
  • Barrows/Hoover Home Group - Wednesday evenings (Childcare provided)
